We all know that the only way to improve any skill is practice. Creative writing is no exception. Writing prompt is probably one of the best tools for improving creative writing. There is no better way to get your creative juices flowing than when you can block out all external noises and focus on writing. Writing prompts help you achieve it. Writing prompts are similar to writing essays back in our school days. The following are the steps for using writing prompts:
- Pick a topic of your choice.
- Begin writing on the topic for a specific amount of time. You can use a timer. Do not stop to edit the article while you are writing.
- Edit the written material once the time limit is up.
Voila it is done. Go ahead, try it.
